VAP Test

Most Accurate & Comprehensive Cholesterol Test

The VAP® (Vertical Auto Profile) Test Is One Of The Most Accurate And Comprehensive Cholesterol Tests Available Today for only $ 79.00

The VAP cholesterol test reports 18 separate components of blood cholesterol compared to just four in a standard test.

This comprehensive cholesterol test can identify more lipid abnormalities (which is the #1 risk factor of heart disease) than the standard test and is the only cholesterol test to identify markers for Metabolic Syndrome, a precursor for diabetes. Your risk of heart disease and diabetes can be reduced with the right preventative treatments – and the VAP Test provides a large amount of information for your doctor to give an accurate diagnosis.

Is The VAP Cholesterol Test For You?
The VAP Cholesterol test is a test for you if you have a family history of heart disease or cardiac event, elevated cholesterol (Total or LDL) or low HDL, elevated triglycerides, diabetes or family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, kidney problems, obstructive liver disease, or if you are taking cholesterol medication or are overweight.

Why You Need VAP Cholesterol Test?
Getting "normal" results back from a conventional cholesterol test doesn't mean one is safe from heart disease. The VAP Test provides valuable information that can identify hidden heart disease risks. It breaks down cholesterol beyond HDL (high-density lipoprotein, the "good" cholesterol), LDL (low-density lipoprotein, the "bad" cholesterol), and triglycerides—providing new information that can help your doctor better assess and manage your heart disease risk. VAP Tests also help identify the metabolic syndrome-which leads to diabetes and heart disease, and affects a staggering 55 million Americans

The VAP® Cholesterol Test (Vertical Auto Profile) Measures:
1. LDL (direct measured) Cholesterol
2. HDL Cholesterol
3. VLDL Cholesterol
4. Total Cholesterol
5. Non- HDL cholesterol
6. Triglycerides
7. LDL-R
8. Lp(a)
9. IDL
10. HDL2
11. HDL3
12. VLDL1+2
13. VLDL3
14 .Remnant Lipoproteins
15. LDL Density ( Pattern )
16. Apo B
17. Apo A1
18. Apo B / A1 Ratio
What Is Direct Measured LDL?
Conventional cholesterol tests calculate your LDL levels, they don't measure your LDL levels.
One of the key benefits of the VAP Technology is a direct-measured LDL. The routine cholesterol panel, which calculates LDL using the Friedewald formula, provides only a 40% predictive value for coronary heart disease. In contrast, VAP Tests, which directly measure LDL, identify more than 90% of patients at risk for heart disease. Based on concerns about the reliability of calculated LDL, the NCEP ATP III guidelines recommend direct LDL measurement methods unaffected by triglycerides and patient fasting. In fact, calculated LDL is significantly inaccurate in patients with heart disease or the equivalent (LDL goal <70-100 mg/dL). Calculated LDL also fails to accurately classify risk for those who most need it-patients with triglycerides >200 mg/dL
